Rocco’s Story

Hi everyone- my name is Rocco! In July 2024, I was wandering around Somerville, TN when I stumbled upon Purpose 4 Paw’s Camp. I was very very scared, but the man there brought me inside and gave me food and water. It took a few days to decompress, but I feel safe and happy now. All the other pups here are very good boys and girls- I found out the guy who saved me is something called a “trainer.” He reached out to his friends over at Streetdog and asked them for help finding me a family. In the meantime, I get to stay here and get all the training I need to be an extra good boy and find a forever family!

Rocco is a 3-year-old, 55 lb shepherd who will need to gain just a few more pounds. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment but is otherwise healthy. This sweet boy is dog-friendly and extremely people-friendly. He’s done very well in his training sessions thus far and has passed his behavior assessment with flying colors! This good boy will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family!
