Winky’s Story

This little fellow is Sir Harry Winkleton (Winky for short)! Winky was found in early January 2025 running as a stray in one of our leader’s neighborhoods. He was emaciated, infested with fleas, and had mats all over his body. The mats were so bad, they even had spiders and earthworms embedded into them. Doc thinks that the severity of the mats around his eyes had caused corneal ulcers and impaired his sight. After 2 weeks of eye drops, he seems to be able to see very well during the day! He does occasionally act like he struggles to see at night, but it doesn’t impair him at all. He has been groomed by the awesome Grind City Grooming, is up to date on shots and neutered, and tested HW negative.

Winky loves all people, does well with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and is ok with our cats as long as they don’t mind the occasional chase. He’s kennel trained, potty trained, and LOVES playing with toys as well. His ideal home would either be with someone who’s home most of the day to cuddle him constantly or has another pup in the home to play with him.
