Willow’s Story

Meet Willow! This gentle and sweet girl is approximately 6 years old and has already melted our hearts. We believe she is a Dane (or close mix) and is currently 100 lbs (June 25, 2024), but she still needs to gain about 10 lbs.

Despite facing some health challenges, including being HW+ and undergoing a major surgery where she had a 10lb tumor removed (she lost a total of 17lbs from the surgery!), Willow remains a shining star of positivity. Luckily, we received information from Grace that the mass was just hyperplasia (not cancerous), and she is recovering well from the removal procedure.

Willow walks well on a leash and is an adorable shotgun rider in the car. She loves looking out the window and taking in all the new scents. She spent a week and a half with a groomer who works at Hollywood Feed, so she got plenty of opportunities to greet all the humans and dogs that came through the store, and she was terrific at it! She even had a sweet encounter with toddler Grayson, a volunteer's son. Willow gave him a gentle sniff and was as sweet as can be.
