Lettie’s Story
Nov. 2024 Update: We first introduced Lettie a few months ago. She was emaciated and had just started treatment for her heartworms. This big, beautiful girl is now completely weight-restored and will be finished with heartworm treatment in just a few weeks! She would really love to get out of boarding, so if anyone would like to foster or adopt her, please let us know! She prefers to be the only dog in the home, but she has lots of love to give to the perfect family. Her favorite activities include chewing her bone, getting her hair brushed, sunbathing on the hill, and going for short, slow strolls around the block!
Lettie is a 6-year-old English Mastiff who weighs 100.4 pounds. She’s currently very underweight and undergoing heartworm treatment, but with some extra love and TLC, we will have her healthy and happy in no time! Her past family was no longer able to care for her, so she’s been living in boarding for the past few weeks while she waits to find a new foster or forever home.
Lettie is a bit of a special case as she needs to be an only pup. She is not fond of kitties or doggies and would be best suited in a home with just adults or families with older children. Due to her size and dislike for small creatures, we do not feel comfortable placing her with small children.
We know she will be a harder one for us to place, but we believe the right home is out there for every dog, so if you have a special place in your heart for senior mastiffs, Lettie might just be the perfect pup for you! If you’d like to foster or adopt this sweet girl, please get in touch with us!
