Over the weekend, our doctors discovered that Dodge (and Hemi) tested positive for a rare disease called Pythiosis. The prognosis is poor but can be improved with surgical intervention. With success, Hemi had surgery Friday. Today, Dodge was in surgery and we made the very difficult decision to not wake him back up as the disease was covering his entire body and there was no way to remove all of the affected parts of the organs and intestines. We are completely heartbroken to lose our beautiful Dodge but find comfort in knowing he was loved beyond measure in his last days. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
