While at the Rhodes security station, it was discovered that Monk was a criminal at large and was wanted on several crimes across the city! It was their only choice but to hand him over to the Memphis police department, who took over the case from there. It has been reported that Monk briefly resisted arrest, but then got too excited at the prospect of a car ride, & finally went willingly with MPD officers.
