Matcha’s Story

Mr. Matcha Man is still looking for a foster or adopter. With this sweet face, we just can’t believe he hasn’t been scooped up yet!!

Matcha came back to us about a year ago after his first adoption unfortunately didn’t work out. When he returned to Streetdog, we decided to send him to a doggy boot camp at a board-and-train facility to work on his manners and make sure he was perfectly adoptable. The good news? Matcha has EXCELLED in his training and is now a certified ~very good boy.~ The not so good news? Being at a boarding facility for this long can be very stressful for a sweet boy like Matcha. Our volunteers have reported that our Matcha Man has seemed rather sad the last couple months, and we think he would really benefit from a home to call his own, even if temporarily.

Matcha is great with other dogs (peep him playing with his boarding buddy #SDFLoki). We think he would be okay in a house with older kids, but young children or cats are a no-go for Matcha at this point. Some of you may remember Matcha from our #sdfCoffeeHousePups litter! He was adopted as a puppy, but unfortunately it didn’t work out and he’s back with us again and is now on the search for a new foster or adoptive home where he can truly thrive.

Matcha is around 2 yrs old and 70lbs. He is crate-trained, potty-trained, and knows how to sit, shake, and lay down! While he’s great with adults and decent around other dogs, he is not a fan of kids or cats.
