As you've probably guessed, #MonksCaper was an elaborate April Fool's joke. Monk is fine, and safe, and has not committed any crimes (that we know of). While we're sure you haven't been fooled for too long, we thought you might like a lighthearted diversion for the day! (And our volunteers certainly had fun photographing this caper!)
